I’m really, really proud of my team this morning.

Our work is high stakes, high anxiety, and high pressure. Most often we are called to lift up mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, and children at the most difficult times of their lives. We are called to stand in the gap beside friends and neighbors, educators, advocates, businesses, and local governments in both the usual and the extraordinary. We are called to craft paths of agreement and reconciliation where such things appear impossible.

So it makes me so proud to see my team recognized as the best attorney/law office in our area for the second straight year. Our most humble thank you to all of you who voted for us and who support our work every day. And thank you again to the Pulaski Citizen and Mainstreet Media for recognizing local businesses, professionals, and organizations in such a kind way.

BREAKING - the Tennessee Court of Appeals confirms that Tennessee game warden searches on private land without permission or notice to property owners — and without appearing before a judge to show probable cause of a crime — are unconstitutional.

From the Court: "The TWRA’s contention is a disturbing assertion of power on behalf of the government that stands contrary to the foundations of the search protections against arbitrary governmental intrusions in the American legal tradition, generally, and in Tennessee, specifically."
