How do we be stars that shine bright in the darkness?

Philippians 2:14 tells us we are to become blameless (a life that cannot be criticized by sin or evil) and harmless (pure, unmixed, unadulterated with sin) in order to be lights in the darkness. But how? V.12-13 tells us to do what is right no matter where we are or who we are around and this can only be done through fearing the Lord. A healthy fear. He will work through us and give us the strength to do His will but we must do this without complaining or grumbling (v14).... unfortunately I had become the chief of sinners in this area, I wanted God to use me in different ways than He was and all I did was complain. Don't fall into this trap of the enemy, God is working through you right now in this moment. V.16 Paul says to hold fast the word of life, this word is actually about holding forth the word of life, which is Gods word, His Gospel he has given us. Our goal should be to look back our life at the end of it and be able to say "I have not ran this race in vain". When your life is centered around the Gospel and not around yourself or other people, you will be abiding in Christ and His light will shine through you no matter what you do.

Lord help us to be lights in the crooked and perverse world, in this darkness, help us to be your light. Lord help us to fall more in love with you and fear you more and more each day. Let Your will be done in our lives and help us to only seek your kingdom. Amen

Who wants to be like Christ and Live like Him?? Me!

We so easily say "me" to this question and forget to count the cost everyday. Christ was walked all over, falsely accused, hated, spit on, betrayed by his friends, and died a horrible death for telling the truth. Philippians 2:5-8, "let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider robbery to be equal with God, but made himself no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men and being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross"
Phil 2:1 "if there is any encouragement" this word has the meaning of walking beside and helping and counseling and uplifting someone. This is the only way to live a life like Jesus. It has been granted to us to believe in Christ and also suffer with him as well and we can only live the way he did by truly living in Him and Him living in us. Abiding! He is walking beside you everyday, and wants you to rely only on him. If you have been born again, you have been chosen for a life of not only eternal joy and peace but a life of suffering, selflessness, and unity with other believers. We must lean only on Christ in order to live this way and stay true to it. I love you all.

Huge shout out to my brother Clint!
