Blantyre Station and Market — Pisgah Forest

Cherie spent Thursday morning there with the French Broad Gardeners for a Butterfly Gathering — monarch butterflies, good company, and the kind of hospitality you can't fake. Blantyre Station hosted us in their shop and greenhouse, and it reminded me (again) why this place is a local treasure.

Part market, part garden center: fresh local produce, baked goods, shelves of goodies from other local makers, and plants and hanging baskets in season. It's the kind of place you stop into for one thing and leave with an armful.

Locally owned, locally grown, run by good people. Go see them — and tell them the French Broad Gardeners and Homestead Realty sent you.
