A Los Angeles home once owned by the late Dolly Parton is for sale, listed at $7.95 million for the first time in 25 years. The country singer and her husband, Carl Dean, purchased the Hollywood Hills property for $750K in 1985 before selling it for $1.2 million in 1990. More recently, the four-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom residence was a rental, asking as much as $28.8K a month in 2021. The 4,689-square-foot home, which was "rebuilt in 2009," features glass walls with views of downtown L.A. and a resort-inspired pool terrace.

Listing presentation day in Little Tuscany 🌴✨

Spent some time touring a very cool 1940s hacienda-style home tucked into one of Palm Springs’ most iconic neighborhoods.

So much character—the bougainvillea, old Palm Springs charm, vintage tile, that fabulous gold scalloped wall, and all those little details you just don’t find in newer homes. ❤️

One of my favorite parts of a listing presentation is getting to know the home, its history and what makes it special—then figuring out the right strategy for what comes next, whether that’s selling, leasing, pricing or timing.

Known as the “Marilyn Monroe Doll House,” the 2,978-square-foot property served as a desert vacation home for the Hollywood icon in the early 1960s for about a year, shortly before her death in 1962. Located in Vista Las Palmas, the four-bedroom, four-bath residence was designed by architect Charles DuBois and built by the Alexander Construction Company, two names closely associated with Palm Springs’ midcentury architectural movement. Warm Sands was exceptionally cute this morning. 🌴☀️

Getting my steps in and appreciating all the little things that make this neighborhood so special—the old adobe homes, quirky gates, hidden courtyards, mountain views and so much Palm Springs history.

I get to call this neighborhood home. ❤️

Warm Sands is waking up. Flowers are showing off, the cactus is doing cactus things, Tiller has the wiggles and apparently we have a bookmobile now. 📚😂

Season is creeping back in, and Palm Springs is starting to feel like Palm Springs again.
