Congratulations to Shareholder Laura Walda on being named to Winter Park Magazine’s “The Influentials 2026”!

Recognized as “The Civic Champion,” she is featured for her leadership across local arts, cultural and civic organizations, including Central Florida Vocal Arts, Mead Botanical Garden, the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens and the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce. It also spotlights her role on the board of the Winter Park Ideas Foundation, which is planning the Winter Ideas Festival in 2027 around the theme of belonging.

As member of the firm’s commercial real estate group, Laura handles complex contract and lease negotiation, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, negotiation and structuring of credit facilities. She's known for solving problems quickly and keeping deals on track. Her background in commercial litigation includes title insurance matters, landlord-tenant disputes, and banking litigation.

attorney Tara Tedrow recently spoke with the Orlando Business Journal about why Florida’s Live Local Act has generated significant developer interest but relatively few construction starts.

In the article, entitled “The Live Local Bottleneck,” Tedrow explained that implementation has been slow and the law has not yet produced the surge in affordable housing development that legislators intended. However, she noted that successful projects demonstrate the law’s potential.
