Happy for our client! Our client was charged with Possession of co***ne and Possession of paraphernalia. Longwell Lawyers put in an amazing effort, led by Andrew Long and Carmen Niehoff. By vigorously working up the case, engaging in thorough discovery, and filing pre-trial motions, we were able to get the charges against our client dropped today (the day before the motion hearing)!

At Longwell Lawyers, we have a LONG history of serving clients WELL in both criminal law and family law. After serving with distinction as a State Prosecutor, Mark N. Longwell founded Longwell Lawyers in 1993. Initially, the focus was on criminal law. It wasn’t long before clients wanted us to help with injunctions and family law matters (divorce, child custody, child support…). Unfortunately, when child custody and divorce matters get ugly, police often get involved. Injunctions and criminal charges may follow. For over 30 years, we have successfully handled even the most serious and complicated cases involving criminal law, family law, and injunction or restraining order issues.

As an example of the great work we do in all three of these areas, today we received a No Information Notice dropping our client’s criminal charge of Burglary with Assault/Battery, which is a first-degree felony punishable by life. Our success in the criminal case capped our work in getting an injunction/restraining order dismissed. We also helped our client keep her child safe with her, which was complicated by the fact that the person making the claims against her is the father of the child. This was a sweeping success.

Motion to Dismiss Petition to Modify Child Support GRANTED!
Our client hired us because the Department of Revenue previously got a Final Judgment establishing paternity and child support 17 years ago. Our client had been paying and was current. Now, just as the time was ending, the Department of Revenue filed a Motion to Modify so as to increase, retroactively, the support amount. Longwell Lawyers was hired and we filed a Motion to Dismiss their claim and countered with our own Petition for Modification to lower the support amount. The Department of Revenue decided to dismiss their Petition for Modification. We are happy to deliver this great result for our client!
