✨Introducing our legal intern ✨
Taylor Marks is a second-year law student at Oklahoma City University School of Law and a proud Oklahoma native from Ardmore, Oklahoma. Before beginning law school, she attended Oklahoma State University, where she earned her B.A. in Psychology with a Pre-Law minor in Political Science, graduating magna cm laude. She has always had a strong interest in understanding people and helping others, which ultimately led her to pursue a career in law with a particular passion for family law.
Taylor’s heart has always been drawn to working with children and families. She understands that family law matters often involve some of the most personal and difficult circumstances a person can experience, and she is passionate about being someone who can help families navigate those moments with compassion, understanding, and care. Her previous experience working in a family law practice confirmed her desire to continue pursuing this area of law and showed her how meaningful it can be to help clients feel supported and heard during challenging times.
At Oklahoma City University School of Law, Taylor serves as President of the Family Law Association and Secretary of the Corporate Law Association. She enjoys being involved in her law school and the Oklahoma legal community and is especially passionate about encouraging other students to explore family law and the many ways attorneys can make a meaningful difference in the lives of their clients.
Outside of law school, Taylor loves experiencing the Oklahoma City community by trying new restaurants and discovering new places. She enjoys being outdoors, staying active, and, most importantly, spending time with her cat, friends, and family. Taylor values the relationships she has built throughout her life and brings that same genuine care and enthusiasm into her work with the clients of Schamel and Associates and the legal community!
We are so excited to welcome Taylor. 💗
