25 Years of Independent Physicians. One Community. A Strong Start to Medicare AEP 2027!

Great questions, meaningful conversations, and a shared commitment to better healthcare made our first Medicare AEP educational event in Vista a memorable one!

Today, October 13, Greater Tri Cities IPA was proud to join Jack, Annette, and Jackie Midland of Midland Senior Care Insurance for an informative and engaging Medicare presentation at Black Bear Diner in Vista, California, from 10 AM to noon.

A special thank-you to the entire Midland family for hosting us! Jack and Annette brought their years of Medicare experience, while Jackie offered valuable insights into the details of Medicare plans and the choices facing seniors for 2027.

One of the most rewarding moments came from the conversations with attendees.

At the beginning of the event, many people weren't quite sure what Greater Tri-Cities IPA does or how an Independent Physicians Association supports their healthcare.

By the end, those questions had turned into meaningful conversations and a much clearer understanding of our mission.

Richard Zarate was on hand representing GTCIPA, sharing how, for 25 years, we've helped support truly independent primary care physicians who value personal relationships, listen to their patients, and provide care close to home.

From Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Fallbrook, and Escondido, we're proud to help connect North County residents with independent physicians and a local healthcare network built around patient needs.

One especially memorable highlight was hearing heartfelt, five-star praise for one of our own primary care physicians, Dr. Stewart Wilkey, DO, of Oceanside. Hearing firsthand how much patients appreciate their physicians reinforces why our mission matters.

A wonderful afternoon of connection at Lake San Marcos Family Medicine.

Greater Tri Cities IPA was proud to spend time with Dr. Neil Halim, Katie Herbst, PA-C, and the Lake San Marcos Family Medicine team at their recent Open House.

With Open Enrollment approaching, it was especially valuable to bring together our physician community, trusted broker partners, patients, and local healthcare professionals for real conversations in a relaxed setting.

Guests could meet Dr. Halim, learn more about Katie Herbst, PA-C, ask questions, tour the practice, and connect with people helping seniors throughout North County navigate their healthcare options.

Dr. Halim embodies what we value in the GTCIPA physician network: an independent physician deeply connected to his patients, his practice, and his community. We are grateful for the partnership, and for the warm welcome his entire team extended to everyone who attended.

A special thank you as well to the brokers, GTCIPA leadership, provider relations team, and community partners who joined us. These face-to-face conversations are especially important as we head into another Open Enrollment season.

Today is a special day for Greater Tri Cities IPA and for two physicians who have spent years caring for our North County community. 💙

We’re proud to join the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce today at The Seabird Ocean Resort & Spa for the Heroes of Oceanside & Camp Pendleton Luncheon, celebrating the people whose leadership, service, and commitment make Oceanside such a strong community.
