The Law Studies Success Program is a one on one bar exam and law school tutorial that has been serving bar exam candidates in California and UBE jurisdictions as well as law students for over 37 years. Meeting with students on FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom, the tutorial’s approach has always focused on the individual student’s needs, strengths, goals, and linguistic challenges of non-native students.
The one on one tutorial sessions now average between 2 to 2 1/2 hours meeting on a schedule that is convenient to the individual student. Students appreciate the well organized modules of the 17 subjects and the three areas of essay, performance tests, and MBE preparation. Instead of just grouping subjects on the outdated and poorly organized manner of lumping all the MBE subjects in one cluster then all the non-MBE subjects in another, the LSSP tutorial program divides the 17 subjects into three major Modules where the courses share similar doctrines and fosters an easier methodology of retaining the information.
The First Module consists of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, California & FRE Evidence, Constitutional Law plus the first Performance Test Module which focuses on making the student an expert in what to look for and use in the Task Memo, the File Documents, and the Library statutes and/or cases.
This first P.T. Module addresses Persuasive Memos, Letters, & Briefs.
The Second Module consists of Contracts & Remedies, Torts & Remedies, Civil Procedure (both FRCP & California), Agency & Partnerships, LLCs, Corporations, & Ethics. The Second Performance Test Module centers exclusively on Objective Memos.
The Third and final Module contains Real Property & Remedies, Community Property, plus Wills & Trusts. The Third Performance Test Module provides a review of the most challenging Persuasive & Objective P.T.s as well as Closing Arguments, & Fact-Oriented Task P.T.s.
Bar candidates are provided with all necessary supportive materials for each course. The tutorial programs are divided among double Early Bird programs, normal Early Bird Programs, and the Regular Full Tutorial Programs.
