☀️ What a fantastic day celebrating some of our incredible Teen Court volunteers! ☀️
This morning, we traded the courtroom for the treetops as we spent the day at TimberTrek at Adventures on the Gorge for our annual volunteer appreciation outing!
Our volunteers tackled ropes courses, soaring zip lines, wobbly bridges, and plenty of challenges high above the forest floor. Some took to the course like ducks to water, while others spent the first few obstacles conquering fears before finishing the day like seasoned adventurers. Watching confidence grow with every platform, bridge, and zip line was just as rewarding as the day itself.
Our FRN Director, Diane Callison, fearlessly climbed right alongside the students, while our much more… ground-oriented coordinator, Kristin Perry, proudly embraced her role as official cheerleader, photographer, and moral support with both feet firmly planted on the ground. 😂
We wrapped up an unforgettable day with a delicious meal together at Pies & Pints, sharing stories, laughs, and plans for the remainder of summer.
Our Teen Court program simply wouldn’t be what it is without these outstanding young people. They dedicate their time throughout the year to serving their peers and making a positive impact in our community, and we’re so grateful for the opportunity to spend a summer day celebrating them.
Thank you to our amazing volunteers for everything you do. We hope you had as much fun as we did—you certainly earned it! 💚💛
