There’s a lot to check off the list before sending a student off to college. Tuition, books, dorm supplies, class schedules… but what about estate planning?

Once a child turns 18, parents may not automatically have the authority to make certain medical or financial decisions for them. Having the right documents in place can make a big difference if the unexpected happens.
