We were thrilled to meet with older adults & their caregivers at State Sen. Krueger’s Older Adult Resource Fair in Lenox Hill, where NYLAG showed up to provide information on Medicare, Medicaid, home care, and other resources New Yorkers need for their health & wellbeing.

We joined Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal & community partners to unveil the Immigrant Welcome Center — a place where immigrant New Yorkers can access critical information, resources, and legal services through NYLAG!

Immigrant New Yorkers shouldn't have to choose between medical access, housing stability, and food or their pathway to legal permanent residency. This new rule change will not only harm the low-income immigrants we serve; it will also harm NYLAG's ability to provide holistic legal services for thousands of New Yorkers. That’s why The Legal Aid Society, Democracy Forward, and Center for Constitutional Rights are suing the Trump administration to stop them from making it harder for immigrant families to afford to survive.

We’re putting bad landlords on notice 🛑 The Zar Brothers keep racking up housing code violations, endangering the safety and wellbeing of tenants at 2440 Walton Ave. 10 tenants, with us on their side, are demanding that a court-appointed administrator take over their building. Enough is enough.

Victory! Governor Hochul provided $36 million in additional funding so that NYLAG & dozens of legal service organizations, r**e crisis centers, and domestic violence support providers across New York State could provide a public safety net of attorneys, advocates, and counselors to support survivors on their path to security as they reclaim their lives.
