Immigrant Defense Project Justice for All Immigrants

🚨 Congress and Trump are giving ICE and Border Patrol $70 BILLION -- that's on top of the $170 BILLION they gave these two agencies last year, bringing their budget to $240 BILLION. Act now and tell your Senators and Representatives: focus on our communities; no more money for ICE and CBP: bit.ly/NOmore4ice

IDP stands with people of all genders and sexualities fighting for dignity and justice, and will never be silent while the criminal legal and immigration systems are used to threaten LGBTQ+ safety. The support for q***r rights remains as necessary as ever as this federal administration continues to intensify its violence against immigrant and q***r communities–both in severity and speed.

LGBTQ+ folks are disproportionately and systematically targeted and criminalized. For those born outside the U.S., they face the cruel double punishment in the immigration system through threats of detention, deportation, or loss of status. Immigrant LGBTQ+ folks face an uphill battle in their fight to remain in the U.S. with their loved ones. IDP remains steadfast in our solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community because we know there is no immigrant justice without q***r rights, and no q***r rights without immigrant justice.

What are you doing this weekend? Did you know that right now the Senate is considering a mass deportation bill that funnels ~$70 BILLION more to and CBP. They even snuck in a $350 million slush fund at the last minute for ICE to unleash chaos in sanctuary cities and states. This is unacceptable.

Tell Congress VOTE NO on the budget reconciliation bill - Tell them no more money for ICE and CBP!

ICE and CBP are waging a campaign of terror against our communities across the country and in detention centers. Join us in demanding that our representatives stand up for our communities!

Hundreds of New Yorkers came together this past weekend to remind legislators and Governor Kathy Hochul that any immigration package passed without the New York for All Act is NOT ENOUGH. Until the state prohibits law enforcement collusion with ICE, New Yorkers remain vulnerable to the cruelty of the federal mass deportation agenda. Everyone deserves dignity and due process. We need now!

05/30/2026

New Yorkers made it clear across the state this weekend that New York must end law enforcement collusion with ICE and CBP -- and until the legislature passes and Governor Kathy Hochul signs it into law, they can't claim they're meeting this moment of mass deportations and ICE violence.

URGENT CALL TO ACTION: New Yorkers across the state are coming together 5/29 & 30 to call on the state to end its complicity in separating families and passing the New York for All Act. Until legislators pass and Governor Kathy Hochul signs it into law, New York continues to let law enforcement agencies collude with ICE to carry out Trump's mass deportation agenda. If you're in NY, find an action near you 👇 👇

IDP was so grateful to be a part of the premiere of EVERYBODY TO KENMURE STREET this past weekend! It was a pleasure to hear filmmaker Felipe Bustos Sierra in conversation with Marie Mark (CUNY School of Law) and Naomi Gordon-Loebl (Jewish Currents) to discuss this documentary that covers the 2021 raid in Glasgow of a primarily Muslim neighborhood on Eid, and the incredible response from the community that ensued.

The film will continue to screen at DCTV through this week. You can check out tickets for the documentary at https://www.dctvny.org/s/firehouse-film/everybody-to-kenmure-street-MCYQF2IJTPSRGVXDJZUCKR6PYHVI
