Methuen, Massachusetts, home to one of the most extraordinary musical landmarks in the country: The famous Organ Hall! Built by Edward F. Searles, the Methuen Memorial Music Hall is home to the Great Organ, the first concert pipe organ in the United States, originally installed in 1863 in the Boston Music Hall.
Today, the Methuen Memorial Music Hall is on the National Register of Historic Places and actively hosts performances of many kinds, with its 15-week Summer Organ Concert series as the flagship event of the season. It's a one-of-a-kind cultural treasure right in our backyard.
