While I don't see Mortgage rates getting anywhere near 5% again anytime soon, this article gives great insight into what is driving Mortgage rates higher.

It also gives a good breakdown of the timeline for rates, and how just 3 months ago we saw rates in the 5's. So frustrating to see year long highs just 3 months later. 😡

Knowledge is power. While we can't control Mortgage rates, as a dedicated Loan Officer I am able to better guide my Clients in their Mortgage choices by understanding the catalysts that move markets.

It's just flat-out disappointing to be back to these high(er) Mortgage rates. Pre-Iran we were hitting the 5's on a 30yr fixed...
