Bam! Last night our women attorneys and law clerks from our Baton Rouge and New Orleans offices traded case files for mahjong tiles at our annual summer Ladies Night 🀄✨

An evening of mahjong, laughter, and good company made for a lot of fun… and a great reminder of how much we appreciate the incredible women on our TWPD team. Special thanks to the Mahjong Gallery of Baton Rouge for hosting our ladies and everyone who made the night a success!

Recently we got together to celebrate our first-session Summer Law Clerks and welcome our second-session clerks to the firm.

It was a great afternoon filled with lots of good queso, plenty of laughs, and the chance to celebrate one incredible group while getting to know another. We loved recognizing our first-session clerks for all of their hard work and giving our newest clerks a warm TWPD welcome.

TWPD is pleased to recognize Lorin Scott for her recent work on a complex federal maritime case involving contractual issues, borrowed servant status, and the allocation of duties among multiple offshore entities.

As lead trial counsel, Lorin secured a full dismissal with prejudice of all claims against our client following a federal bench trial. Before trial, Lorin also obtained summary judgment on borrowed servant status, narrowing the issues and helping position the case for a successful defense outcome.

Way to go Lorin on this excellent result! 👏

Nothing beats a day on the golf course with friends and colleagues!

Several of our TWPD attorneys had a great time participating in the Baton Rouge Bar Association’s First Annual Barrister’s Open. Congratulations to Edward Miller, Cade Blanchard, and Mark Assad on their 3rd place finish! Summer is officially underway at TWPD!

As we near the end of our first Law Clerk session, we’d like to introduce the eight talented students who have been spending their summer with us across four of our offices.

Over the last several weeks, these clerks have had the opportunity to gain practical experience, learn from our attorneys across a variety of practice areas, and develop a deeper understanding of the legal profession. Along the way, they’ve also built relationships with attorneys and staff throughout the firm and experienced firsthand the culture that makes TWPD unique.
