Tulane Federalist Society

Tulane Federalist Society The Tulane Law Federalist Society is a non-partisan organization that believes individual citizens can make the best choices for themselves and society.

The Society's main purpose is to sponsor fair, serious, and open debate. Founded in 1982, the Federalist Society is committed to the principles that the state exists to preserve freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution, and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what the law should be. The Society seeks t

o promote awareness of these principles and to further their application through its activities. The Tulane Chapter of the Federalist Society was founded in 1984 by the Honorable William Pryor and Eric Weimers to provide a forum for conservative and libertarian view points. Since its foundation, the Tulane Chapter has brought many world renowned speakers and experts in multiple fields of law to Tulane University Law School and the New Orleans Community.

Today at 5:30PM in room 257, please join us in hosting Dr. Roger Pilon, constitutional scholar of the Cato Institute, for a talk on the state of unenumerated rights after the Dobbs decision. Dr. Pilon will try to parse out the inconsistent, and still incomplete, framework that SCOTUS has given us on the issue.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!
