🚨 Green Card Applicants: The Law Hasn’t Changed but USCIS is applying it differently. 👇

A recent USCIS policy update is creating confusion for many immigrants pursuing permanent residence. Here’s what you need to know:

✅ The law governing Adjustment of Status (Green Card applications filed inside the U.S.) has NOT changed.

⚠️ However, USCIS officers are now being directed to apply greater discretion when reviewing these cases and to place more emphasis on whether Adjustment of Status is truly appropriate instead of consular processing abroad.

This may especially impact individuals currently in the U.S. on temporary visas, including:
• Students (F-1)
• Temporary workers (H-1B, L-1, etc.)
• Visitors (B-1/B-2)
• Other nonimmigrant visa holders

What does this mean for you?

📌 Strong documentation is more important than ever.
📌 Eligibility alone may not be enough.
📌 Every case should be carefully prepared to address discretionary factors.
📌 Professional legal guidance can help you avoid costly mistakes.

The path to a Green Card remains available, but preparation and strategy matter more than ever.

If you’re considering applying for permanent residence, our team at Prospera Legal can help evaluate your options and build the strongest case possible.
