I have always had a passion for helping others and have traveled across Michigan to help protect my clients’ rights. My desire to help those most in need of legal assistance and vast experience in courts throughout Metro-Detroit have made me a catalyst of change in a broken system. From 2017-2018, I was the Regional Manager for the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission (MIDC). In that capacity, I w

orked with all the courts in Lapeer, Macomb, Oakland and St. Clair Counties in the State of Michigan’s goal to reform the indigent defense system. I am passionate about giving back to my community and my profession and I share my time with charitable organizations across the tri-county area throughout the year. I received a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Central Florida. Professional Affiliations: CDAM; WLAM Secretary; Regional officer - WLAM Macomb Region, Director - National Conference of Women's Bar Associations; former Co-Chair Macomb County Bar Association's Criminal Law Committee; Central Macomb Optimist Club; and former Mock Trial coach for Warren Cousino, De La Salle, and Regina High Schools. I’m honored to have been elected as the new Secretary of the Macomb County Bar Foundation!

The Foundation plays a vital role in supporting educational, charitable, and community-based programs that promote access to justice and legal awareness throughout Macomb County.

Thirteen years ago, a very dear friend invited me to my first WLAM meeting, and I have been a proud member ever since. What started as an introduction to an incredible community quickly became a lifelong commitment to an organization whose values align so closely with my own.

On April 26th, I will step into the role of WLAM’s 107th President. WLAM has long been a champion for equality in the judicial system for women, and I am beyond proud to lead an organization that continues to push for meaningful change.

Here’s to another year of progress, advocacy, and lifting each other up!

Why WLAM? "As a new lawyer, I joined WLAM after attending one of the Macomb board meetings. Afterward, I realized how invaluable the connections with like-minded professionals who share a commitment to personal and professional growth really could be! The friendships and camaraderie I've developed here have been instrumental in expanding my network and fostering meaningful relationships and authentic connections. Being a part of this community has enriched both my personal and career journey in ways I couldn't have imagined."

As the President-Elect, I am excited to announce the 107th Annual Meeting for the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan!

WLAM has been a cornerstone for supporting and advancing women in the legal field since 1919. This year’s annual meeting celebrates the theme “Come, As You Are,” embodying our commitment to inclusivity, authenticity, and empowerment within the legal profession. This theme reflects our dedication to fostering an environment where women can bring their true selves to the forefront, embracing their unique identities, perspectives, and experiences.

Throughout the year, WLAM has worked tirelessly to create spaces where women in the legal field feel valued, supported, and empowered to lead with confidence. At this meeting, we will reflect on the strides we have made in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, celebrate the accomplishments of our members, and outline our vision for the future.

We invite you to join us as we continue to build a community where authenticity is celebrated, and every member feels they belong. This is not just a meeting but a celebration of who we are, as we are.

One of the greatest rewards a defense attorney can receive is a call from a former client who’s now out of prison, making big changes in their life, and reaching out to say thank you. That moment is a reminder of why we do this work—for second chances and the power of transformation. When we know better, we can do better, and that goes for all of us.
