You opened your mail and found a Request for Evidence (RFE) from USCIS. Now what?

First: don’t ignore it.

An RFE means USCIS needs additional evidence or information before making a decision on your application. What you submit, and how you respond, matters.

This is also a good time to speak with an immigration attorney who can review the notice, identify what USCIS says is missing, and help you prepare an appropriate response by the deadline.

An RFE is not automatically a denial, but it does deserve your attention.
