The program is nomination-driven – submitted by peers or business associates - and reviewed through a rigorous editorial process to spotlight truly "notable" leaders within Florida’s legal community.

To be considered, nominees must:

1. Be a Florida-based practicing attorney in good standing with the Florida Bar.

2. Serve as a managing partner (or equivalent) of a firm with at least 10 professional staff members.

3. Have a minimum of 10 years of legal practice experience.

4. Demonstrate measurable impact in casework, client development, and/or pro bono service.

5. Mentor or sponsor other attorneys and promote professional excellence.

6. Demonstrate leadership in professional organizations and civic or community service initiatives.

The 2026 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 & 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬 selection process is a patented, multi-phase evaluation conducted annually on a state-by-state basis. Attorneys are first identified through peer nominations and independent research, after which candidates are evaluated on 𝟏𝟐 indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition, including verdicts and settlements, experience, honors and awards, professional activities, certifications, scholarly work, and community involvement. The highest-scoring candidates then undergo a “𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐨𝐧”peer review by attorneys within their practice areas. Final selections are made across firm-size categories, with only approximately 𝟓% 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟐.𝟓% 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬.
