Although he built a successful career in commercial construction, he ultimately wanted greater freedom, purpose, and opportunities for growth. After learning from real estate investors and exploring his options, he realized becoming an agent could serve as both a fulfilling career and a foundation for his long-term investment goals. In 2024, he took the leap into real estate and hasn’t looked back.

AGENT LIFE: Monica Santiago – The Moment Everything Shifts

Monica’s real estate journey is rooted in hard work, resilience, and a genuine commitment to putting her clients first. Growing up in Santa Fe, Monica learned her strong work ethic from her entrepreneurial father, who built his own window repair and remodeling business. After gaining experience in telecommunications and door-to-door sales, Monica eventually pursued her longtime dream of real estate after moving to Arizona with her husband, David. She earned her license in 2018 while continuing to work full-time as a telecommunications portfolio manager, yet still managed to close 15–30 homes a year as she built her business. When the demands of her corporate career no longer aligned with the life she wanted, Monica decided to give real estate her full attention and joined the Housing Around AZ team with Realty One Group. Today, she is known for taking a highly personal approach to real estate, focusing on what works for each client rather than simply chasing a sale. She believes in being an advocate, taking the time to understand her clients’ goals, and staying by their side until they find the home that truly feels right. Her dedication is paying off, with Monica recently reaching the top 26 on Zillow’s agent list and being selected as a Zillow Team Trainer for the Atlanta market. Looking ahead, she hopes to expand her reach by becoming licensed in New Mexico and working alongside her father and sister, while continuing to measure success simply by becoming better each day.

AGENT ON THE RISE: Chase Waldren – I’m Just Getting Started

Chase Waldren’s path to real estate started at a young age, watching his father manage rental properties and learning firsthand the opportunities that real estate could create. After earning a civil engineering degree from ASU, Chase spent five and a half years in commercial construction, but eventually realized he was looking for a career with more purpose and growth. He began exploring real estate investing, attending events, learning from investors, and eventually discovered that becoming an agent could give him the freedom and opportunity he was seeking. In 2024, Chase took the leap and earned his real estate license, with mentorship from Jeff Sutherlin helping him build a strong foundation in the industry. Today, Chase brings the same hard work and determination he learned from his father into his business, finding motivation in helping families find the right homes and embracing the fast-paced nature of real estate. His dedication is already paying off, with Chase recently reaching ICON status at eXp Realty and earning a spot in WESERV’s 40 Under 40. As he looks ahead, he remains focused on growing his network, continuing to learn, and seeing just how far his hard work can take him.
