New law will drastically restrict parenting time for a parent who has committed domestic violence.

The new law in Arizona will no longer require a finding of “significant” domestic violence for it to create a presumption that the parent should not have any legal decision making rights. Under the new law, any domestic violence will create that presumption. This is just one of many changes that will be made, although one of the most important.

A new law that is expected to be signed by the governor soon will completely change the way judges handle cases involving children when there is an allegation of domestic violence, and that is a lot of cases.
