It was destiny that I met Lysette T**i when she was still a high school student, and talent on the popular flagship show Teen Summit at a taping featuring as the special guest. On summer vacation during my Freshman Year at , Dallas invited me to the set in D.C. Lysette auditioned for Dallas after the episode was filmed, leading to her group being signed to . That was the beginning of a friendship that has spanned decades!

Professionally, Lysette was the first artist that I was involved with signing, as a solo artist to . She has been my creative muse and and has a 🔥🔥🔥🔥 new project (linked here) that you want to get into!

To this day, she inspires me to live my dreams out loud, go where the opportunities are, and never settle.

I salute and celebrate this beautiful Queen, & was so happy to be able to celebrate a milestone birthday with her and her peeps. ♾️❤️♾️.

Today we celebrate our classmate Lee Rankin, Esq. (C’96) — a successful entertainment attorney, business growth leader, and legal advisor making her mark in the industry.

Thirty years ago, while Atlanta welcomed the world for the Olympics, we were walking the campus of Spelman College building sisterhood and preparing to lead in every field imaginable. It’s inspiring to see our sisters continuing to thrive, lead, and open doors.

Lee Rankin Group (LRG) was honored to join the Music + Entertainment Council for the MEM2NASH day trip to Nashville.

During the trip, a group of Memphis and Nashville-based talent and creative professionals gathered to build statewide partnerships and support economic development for the Memphis creative economy. A highlight of the visit was our time at the State Capitol, where Memphis hip-hop legend received a well-deserved award.

It was a rewarding day with many promising seeds planted for the future. Kudos to for leading this effort, and I truly appreciate being included in such a potentially impactful initiative.

Woke up to violence and spiraling text conversations trying to process it.

Took what power I have and did a workout, went by the with my son, then fellowshipped with some colleagues, offering and receiving support when really I just wanted to pull the covers over my head and ask God "why"?

I am learning that being emotional in response to circumstances, is disempowering.

I am learning to shift away from despair; to stop looking to politicians to solve problems; to learning how to create value and become an oasis of hope.

I'm tired of being angry for a living, although there's so much to be angry about.
