Little comments.
Passive-aggressive digs in public.

Just enough to embarrass you…
but subtle enough to deny it later.

And when you react?
Suddenly YOU are the problem for “making a scene.”

Never trust the person you’re dating if they do these 3 things early on:

🚩 They create emotional intimacy faster than behavioral consistency.
Deep talks mean nothing if their actions stay inconsistent.

🚩 They pull away after closeness instead of communicating.
If every good moment is followed by distance, confusion, or silence — pay attention.

🚩 They keep you emotionally attached without moving the relationship forward.
Just enough attention to keep you hooked… never enough to make you feel secure.

That’s not connection.
That’s a dopamine loop.

Silence can be manipulation too.

Ignoring texts.
Withholding affection.
Acting cold until you apologize.

The silent treatment isn’t “space” when it’s used to control someone emotionally.

And eventually…
you start apologizing just to make the tension stop.

I’m gonna say what your therapist can’t:

Some people are comfortable in their dysfunction.
And no matter how much love, patience, or understanding you give them… you still can’t fix them.

You can’t love someone into emotional maturity.
You can’t convince someone to choose you correctly.

And staying isn’t noble if it’s costing you yourself.

Sometimes the hardest truth is realizing:
they’re simply not capable of meeting you where you are.

Narcissists rarely take responsibility.

Instead, they flip the conversation until YOU end up defending yourself.

You bring up what hurt you…
and somehow leave the conversation apologizing.

That confusion is intentional.

Because if they can keep you explaining yourself…
they never have to face their own behavior.
