If you die intestate (without a will), 📍Wisconsin probate law will determine who receives your property by default. Typically the distribution would be to your spouse and children, or if none, to other family members. That might sound just fine to you. But probate is costly, slow, public, and doesn't allow you to choose guardians for your children. Creating a will along with a complete estate plan ensures you will be the one making these decisions about your assets and your loved ones. ❤️
