Richard B. Jacobson
I have worked in large and small firms in large and small cities. I learned to strive to work with clients to ease their stress and find options which can improve their lives. My goals are to enhance people's autonomy and increase the happiness in the world.
I have lived in several countries and work in a number of languages. This experience has also helped me understand the human side of the legal problems my clients encounter.
In representing businesses no less than individuals, I have tried to understand the whole context in which a legal problem has arisen, the people no less than the numbers, so that I can help develop outcomes which are personally satisfying to the clients, as well as complying with the laws and regulations.
I have taught at the University of Wisconsin intermittently over many years. I think my experience in teaching students has taught me how to make clear explanations of rules and procedures which can be confusing and dismaying to my clients.
