The Kouri Richins trial has concluded, and the closing arguments offer crucial insights into trial strategy. Prosecutors effectively highlighted unmet defense promises, a critical error when defense attorneys fail to deliver on opening statement pledges. This often stems from the expectation that the defendant will testify. What do you think about the impact of unmet promises in a trial?

A federal judge THREW OUT the death penalty counts in the Luigi Magione case.

Watch this short clip to learn why it turned out this way.

💬 Question for you:
Do you think prosecutors overreach when seeking the death penalty in cases like this or was this the right legal outcome?

You’ve heard me say it a thousand times:
👉 If you are arrested remain silent and ask for a lawyer.

But here’s what most people don’t know… staying silent doesn’t just mean during questioning in the interrogation room. Law enforcement has perfectly legal tactics designed to get you talking, even when you think you’re “off the record.”

In this episode of The Law Lounge, I break down 3 common traps people fall into.

This case keeps getting darker.

A 15-year-old girl.
A Tesla registered to d4vd.
A sealed medical examiner’s report.

As a criminal defense attorney, I’ve covered a lot of disturbing cases—but this one raises serious legal and investigative red flags.

No charges yet. A second possible suspect. And a court-ordered hold on critical evidence.

I’ll be following this closely and breaking down what it actually means from a legal perspective.
Not speculation, just facts and process.

This family’s story… BEYOND tragic!

I sat down with Court TV to discuss the Matthew Lanz stranger-home-invasion murder trial.

When you look at this case, you can’t ignore the history: another brother with schizophrenia, another violent encounter with law enforcement, another crisis left untreated.

As defense attorneys, we see this pattern too often — mental illness + lack of support = disaster.
And now a man is blaming a government agency for som**hing he actually searched himself.

💬 Do you think mental illness changes how these cases should be handled?

VERDICT REACHED! The "Broke My Heart" trial had a lot of moving parts. In this clip, I chat with CourtTV and a CHILLING MOMENT showns in the evidence: she tells the victim’s wife, “Move out of the way,” before pulling the trigger.

THAT ONE SENTENCE shows intent, premeditation, and even transferred intent under the law.

As heartbreaking as her story is, emotion doesn’t erase intent. Like the prosecutor said — “If a broken heart were a defense to murder, I’d be out of a job.”

💭 What do you think — should heartbreak ever influence a verdict?

The Abby Zwerner case was a civil trial, not a criminal one — which means it was about money and accountability, not prison time.

In the latest clips from The Law Lounge, I break down the key legal elements of this case and how everything played out in court.

Abby — an elementary school teacher — sued after being shot by her 6-year-old student, and the jury has now awarded her $10 million in damages.

Head over to my YouTube channel to learn more about how this verdict came together and what it means for future school liability cases: https://www.youtube.com/

💭 I’d love to hear your thoughts — do you think the outcome was fair?

Every so often, a review comes in that reminds me exactly why I chose this path.

When I read the words, “She ultimately gave me a second chance at life,” I felt it deeply. Because that’s what criminal defense is TRULY about — fighting for redemption, not perfection.

From day one, my goal is always the same: to guide my clients with honesty, strategy, and care… to make sure their story is heard and their future is NOT DEFINED by one mistake or difficult chapter.

To my client... thank you for your kind words. Watching you rebuild your life has been one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Everyone deserves a second chance.

If you or someone you love needs an advocate who will fight for that — I’m here... I'll be YOUR first line of defense.

Let’s talk about som**hing I’m passionate about: Do criminal defendants really change?
My answer — absolutely. But only if we give them the chance and the right tools to do it.

Just this week, I had a case that reminded me why I fight so hard for my clients.

A 26-year-old man, addicted to m**h since childhood, was facing seven years in state prison. The DA wanted to lock him away — but I fought for rehabilitation instead.

The court listened. He got a second chance. And one year later… he’s sober, stable, and finally rebuilding his life.

This is why I do what I do.

💬 What do you think — should the justice system focus more on rehabilitation than punishment? Drop your thoughts in the comments!

As a criminal defense attorney, I love seeing strong, strategic lawyering — and that’s exactly what we’re seeing in the Luigi Mangione case.

His defense team just filed motions to dismiss the federal death-penalty charge. I share more details on this in the clip.

These are thoughtful, well-crafted legal challenges — and this is what real defense work looks like: using the law to protect constitutional rights.

What do you think — should a stalking charge ever qualify as a “crime of violence”? 👇

Everyone’s talking about P. Diddy’s sentencing — and a lot of you are saying it’s unfair, that he got off easy because he’s a celebrity.

Look, I get it. But here’s the truth: the prosecution completely overreached.

So what do you think — was justice served or did celebrity status win again? 👇

THE FINAL "SWAN CRY" At 75 years old, Donna Adelson has nothing left to lose — and her defense team knows it.

What do you think? Should age or intent matter more when it comes to sentencing?
