A woman is in critical condition, and others were hurt following a crash involving a Waymo vehicle in Southern California.

On Sunday, July 26, at 5:44 a.m. local time, officials received reports of a two-vehicle collision at the 1000 block of Venice Boulevard in Los Angeles, ABC affiliate KABC, the Los Angeles Times and CW affiliate KTLA reported. Images from the crash site showed clothing and wreckage strewn across the street.

One woman with serious injuries was rushed to the hospital, KABC reported. A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson confirmed to the Times that at least two people were transported to nearby hospitals, and at least one other person was treated at the scene.

A man was hospitalized with a spinal cord injury after tripping and falling on a street that he said was wet and muddy due to a massive water main break in West Hollywood.

On July 16, roads near Sunset Boulevard and Holloway Drive were submerged after a water main rupture released millions of gallons of water from a 110-year-old trunk line pipe that burst.

The footage shows a worker grabbing the toddler, identified in court documents as C.K., by his arms and swinging him through her legs multiple times. On the third swing, the worker appears to toss the child into the air and miss catching him as he falls. The worker then appears to topple over onto the toddler.

The parents say C.K. suffered a traumatic brain injury and hearing loss as a result of the incident.

The lawsuit alleges negligence and fraud by the Bay Club. The child’s parents claim the club misrepresented the circumstances of the incident when notifying them that they needed to pick up their son after he had fallen.

According to the claim, “The Bay Club falsely represented that an employee fell over while she was in a squatting position and holding C.K., and that C.K. was only about 1.5 feet above the ground when the fall occurred. This was a complete lie.”
