Sanders Roberts LLP Partner Adrienne Gurley was recently quoted in Financial Advisor IQ about the SEC’s efforts to obtain additional sanctions against two advisors who previously settled charges in 2022.

Commenting on the ruling dismissing the “follow-on” charges brought before the SEC, Ms. Gurley, a former SEC attorney, said: “The SEC would still have to go to the district court for the civil penalties, but an industry bar remains a remedy it can pursue through administrative proceedings before its ALJs.”
