I probably stop at Meiers Meats Fine Foods once a week, and most weeks I’m heading straight for the meat counter.
We BBQ quite a bit, and their meat is my favorite around. I can grab whatever we’re cooking that week, pick up the BBQ supplies I need, and be back on my way without spending an hour in a grocery store.
That’s a big reason I like shopping there. It’s close to me, it’s small, it’s clean, and I rarely have to deal with a big crowd. I know where everything is, and I recognize a lot of the faces when I walk in.
I also appreciate seeing so many local young people working there. The staff is always friendly, and being family-owned gives Meiers a feel that you just don’t get at the bigger stores.
It’s become part of my weekly routine, and if you see me in there, there’s a good chance I’m figuring out what we’re putting on the grill that night.
