At Wescott Law, our connection to the Lakes and White Mountains Regions extends beyond the work we do for our clients. Our team members live and work in these communities, and we value opportunities to contribute to their strength and well-being.

That commitment is reflected in the service of our Partner Sarah Rubury, who currently serves on the Granite United Way Board of Directors.

Through her board involvement, Sarah has seen firsthand how Granite United Way supports individuals and families through 211 NH, Community Grants, volunteer initiatives, and partnerships with local non-profits. Her service reflects the values that guide our firm: integrity, compassion, collaboration, dedication, and diligence.

As more families across New Hampshire and Vermont face challenges related to housing, food, heating costs, and other basic needs, Sarah is proud to support Granite United Way’s Spring Campaign.

Please consider joining her in supporting this important work:https://bit.ly/48XACnW

Fiscal year-end giving is more than a generous gesture. It can also be an important legal and financial planning opportunity.

For many New Hampshire nonprofits, June 30 marks the close of the fiscal year and an important deadline for charitable giving. Donations made before fiscal year-end can help organizations meet annual goals, maintain essential programs, and plan with greater stability for the year ahead.

For donors, thoughtful giving may also carry tax, estate planning, and financial implications. Cash gifts, appreciated assets, IRA qualified charitable distributions, donor-advised funds, charitable trusts, and estate planning tools can each play a role, depending on your circumstances and goals.

Choosing mediation early, with the support of a financial neutral, can help protect your family from much of the emotional and financial strain of a traditional divorce. Attorney Kathrine Lacey brings more than a decade of divorce litigation experience, along with collaborative practice skills and Mosten Guthrie mediation training, to guide clients through a more thoughtful path forward.
