You could drive past Forked River Beach Bayfront Park a hundred times and never know it’s there. The entrance is tucked between two houses on Beach Boulevard, and you can’t see the park itself from the road at all.
We’ve been going for a while now. My kids head straight for the ship, climbing up and sliding back down over and over. The ground throughout the park is that rubberized material, so a scraped knee doesn’t mean an early trip home. Once they’ve worn themselves out we’ll walk part of the trail that runs almost a mile along the bay starting right at the park. It’s an easy way to spend a morning without fighting boardwalk traffic, if you know where to turn in.
