🚔 Looking for a unique opportunity for a teen in your life? 🚔

The Kenner Police Department Explorer Program is now accepting applications for young people ages 14-18 who are interested in leadership, public service, and learning more about law enforcement.

Participants get hands-on experience, work alongside officers, and gain valuable skills that can help them succeed in any future career. Explorers also have opportunities to meet K-9 teams, learn about drone operations, interact with SWAT personnel, and get an inside look at the many responsibilities of modern policing.

This program helps develop:
⭐ Leadership skills
⭐ Character and responsibility
⭐ Teamwork and communication
⭐ Community involvement
⭐ Real-world experience

Programs like this help build strong relationships between our youth and public safety professionals while preparing the next generation of community leaders.

We're excited to welcome competitors and spectators back to Lafreniere Park for the Midsummer Meltdown Disc Golf Tournament this Saturday.

Disc golf continues to grow in popularity across the country, and we're proud to have one of the region's premier courses right here in Visit Jefferson Parish Events like these bring visitors to our community, showcase our parks, and provide another great recreational opportunity for residents of all ages.

Best of luck to all the participants, and thank you to the New Orleans Disc Golf Club for helping bring tournament play back to Lafreniere Park.
