I'm honored to be endorsed by many State, County and City leaders along with almost half the Davis County Republican delegates and thousands of voters across Davis County.
I really enjoyed my service as Mayor and City Councilmember. Those elections were non-partisan which is nice because it's not about "who's right" or partisan fighting. It's just about getting things done.... providing basic needs like streets, clean water, law enforcement, garbage pickup. These are non-partisan issues. The County is similar: providing basic services to residents, but this is a partisan race.

I hold no animosity toward those who affiliate elsewhere or choose no party at all. No single platform has a monopoly on wisdom, and I recognize the worthy ideals held by my friends in other parties. The Republican Party I know is not defined by any one individual; it is built upon a foundation of enduring convictions.

Why I am a Republican

For me, the strength of our party is found in the last four letters of its name: I CAN.

Individual Agency: It is the fundamental belief that we are capable of becoming and achieving anything through hard work.

Limited Government: My years as Mayor and on the Bountiful City Council taught me that government is most effective when it sticks to the basics—focusing on essential infrastructure and public safety.

Local Sovereignty: I believe the government closest to the people is the most responsive. Power should reside with the community, not in distant bureaucracies.

Fiscal Stewardship: We owe it to those in our stewardship now as well as the next generation to practice disciplined, responsible spending today.

Free Enterprise: Economic growth isn't created by committees; it’s driven by the "dreamers"—the entrepreneurs who pour their lives into an idea and create prosperity for everyone in the process.

Ethics: I believe in honesty, integrity, and equal rights for all.

I am a Republican not because I seek division, but because I believe these principles provide a framework for a flourishing society. I don't pretend to have all the answers, but I do have a compass—and it points toward a belief in the capacity of individuals, local sovereignty, fiscal stewardship, free enterprise and ethics.
