Last week we took some time to celebrate new bundles of joy that will be arriving at two of our attorneys' homes next month! We can't believe we successfully pulled off a surprise double baby shower without the dads-to-be finding out in advance. Please congratulate our attorney, Andy Kent, on winning KLS's Marilyn Harp Award!!! Last Friday, our Board of Directors presented him with this award. The Marilyn Harp Award is awarded each year to an attorney who takes on a case our area of law outside of their regular practice area. Andy enthusiastically took on medical debt cases, without ever having done them before, and his work has truly helped improve the quality of his clients' lives. Of Andy, one client said he "is kind, super smart and gives himself tirelessly to fulfill his dedication to his clients...I couldn't have survived this without him...I have NEVER in my life met an attorney that communicates on the same level without you feeling like you are beneath him." To anyone trying to reach us today, we came back to the office after the weekend with no internet this morning. A service call has been made but we have no idea how long it will take. Today was our second annual chili cook off! We also held a baby photo contest. Both events were part of our annual United Way of Greater Kansas City fundraiser. Congratulations to Kelli, our chili contest winner this year! And many thanks to Alisson, who did a beautiful job organizing the baby pictures. Fun was had, tummies were filled, money was raised, and it was a great way to start the Thanksgiving holiday. Our offices will be closed tomorrow and Friday.
