After the deposition, the work may not be over.
You helped prepare for the deposition.
The deposition happened.
Now what?
There may still be legitimate follow-up work.
For example:
“Review deposition notes and exhibits to identify outstanding factual issues and additional discovery necessary for continued defense of claim.”
Or:
“Analyze deposition testimony regarding prior treatment and employment history to identify records requiring additional investigation.”
A major event in a case often creates several distinct phases of work:
Preparation.
Attendance.
Analysis.
Follow-up.
Capture each phase accurately when appropriate.
