Counting its waterways, Jacksonville covers about 874 square miles, more than any other city in the contiguous U.S. A big reason why: in 1968, the City of Jacksonville and Duval County joined together as one government, making the whole county one city. Add in over 127 square miles of water, including the St. Johns River, and you've got one very big hometown.

If you bought with less than 20 percent down on a conventional loan, you are paying PMI. It protects your lender as an insurance if you don’t pay your mortgage.

At 20 percent equity you can request cancellation in writing. This 20% equity can be achieved by paying your mortgage and appreciation on the value of your home, you may already be there.
