Our client had to rush out of town to be with his mom who’s very ill, so he left a few things behind. Sometimes this job looks like showing beautiful homes, writing up contracts and handing off keys… and sometimes it looks like taking TVs off the wall.

2016 → 2026
In 2016, Peyton retired from the military. We said goodbye to friends who became family and moved across the country to North Carolina.

While our house was being built, we lived in an apartment with no furniture. We slept on air mattresses. Our TV was borrowed and sat on a giant Tupperware storage container.

Our kids started school knowing no one. New state. New routines. New everything.

It was hard- really hard. But it was also the season that changed us.

That experience is why I do what I do today. Because moving isn’t just about buying a house… it’s about starting over, finding stability, and creating home from nothing.

Although this was a bittersweet reunion it really is amazing how after 20 years we picked up like it had only been 20 minutes. Grateful to spend time with all of you, laughing until it hurt and simply just being there through the sad. 💎💎

Don’t worry I tagged us so we wouldn’t have to guess who is who in 20 more years!
