America's 250th birthday isn't a celebration of perfection. It's a celebration of one of history's most extraordinary experiments in liberty.

Today, I choose to celebrate the freedoms that generations of Americans have fought to secure and preserve: the freedom to speak our minds, worship as we choose, pursue our dreams, own property, build businesses, disagree peacefully, and participate in self-government.

Governments change. Leaders come and go. But the ideals of liberty, individual rights, equal justice, and opportunity are greater than any one person or political party.

My hope is that we never stop expecting integrity from those who serve, never stop defending our constitutional freedoms, and never take for granted the blessings that generations before us sacrificed to secure.

Every generation inherits both the blessings and the responsibility of preserving liberty.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to my Mama Rita, who would have celebrated her 75th birthday. We all love you and miss you so much, but for today, I am celebrating you less with sadness but more with gratitude and love, thankful for everything you taught me and all of the fun times we had.

In this life you were a mother, daughter, sister, wife, business owner, explorer, baker, painter, and over all the many other things, loved having fun. You worked hard and played hard, you are dearly missed and I think of you often throughout my experiences. Thank you for everything. 🙏😇

Today is the winter solstice, which occurs every year on December 21, and marks both the shortest day and longest night of the year. Traditionally, it’s a time to honor nature and embrace the return of longer daylight.

Here in Florida, our mild December weather allows for comfortable outdoor celebrations and experiences. It’s a time for bonfires on the beach or to have outdoor gatherings where you can share stories, play music, eat special foods, and foster community.

The winter solstice is also a time to slow down and cherish the simple pleasures of life with those you care about. Some of the best things to do in Florida involve watching the sunset together, stargazing under the night sky, or cooking together.

These acts of mindfulness and connection remind us to celebrate all of life’s joy and the relationships that sustain us. May this winter solstice bring warmth to your heart, light to your spirit, and joy to your days. Wishing you peace, love, and cheer in this season of renewal!

As we witness the heartbreaking devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, our thoughts and prayers go out to the families who have suffered immense loss—of loved ones, homes, and livelihoods. The strength of this storm has left communities in Florida, particularly along the coast, reeling from severe flooding and destruction, with homes washed away and neighborhoods transformed beyond recognition.

Every contribution can make a difference. If you’re able, please consider donating to local charities that are on the ground providing relief and assistance. I support organizations like the American Red Cross, Metropolitan Ministries, and the United Way who are doing incredible work to ensure people have shelter, food, and essential supplies during this difficult recovery process, and I ask that you do too.
