Honored to be attending the 2026 Texas Tech MDL Judicial Summit this week in Denver, Colorado — one of the most prestigious invitation-only conferences in complex litigation.

This year's agenda is packed with timely issues shaping the future of the legal landscape: the impact of AI on evidence and federal rules, litigation finance and the rise of private equity in the legal sector, mass tort resolution strategies, cybersecurity and data breach exposure, and the very first Federal Rule specifically designed for MDLs (FRCP Rule 16.1).

We will learn alongside leading federal judges, litigators, academics, and General Counsel from across the country. I'm looking forward to the dialogue, the panels, and the collegiality that makes this event unlike any other.

🚗 Top 5 Mistakes Drivers Make That Lead to Accidents 🚨
We see these all the time—and they’re more common than you think:

1️⃣ Following too closely (tailgating)
2️⃣ Checking a text “just for a second”
3️⃣ Rolling through stop signs
4️⃣ Speeding through yellow lights
5️⃣ Driving tired or distracted

💬 Which one do you see the MOST on the road?
Be honest—have you ever done one of these yourself? (No judgment here 👀)

Sometimes the fight for justice means saying no when the system says “take the deal.” In a Natchitoches Parish case, prosecutors wanted life behind bars for a tragic accident. We stood beside our client every step of the way — and the jury saw the truth.

Because at Goins Law, we believe real justice means real advocacy — not pressure, not politics. We’ll always show up and fight for the people who trust us to tell their story. 💛⚖️

⚖️ Texas Injury Law: Don’t Wait to Protect Your Rights

If you’ve been injured in Texas — whether in a car wreck, workplace accident or another incident — you typically have two years from the date of the accident to file a personal injury claim.

This is called the statute of limitations, and it’s the legal deadline for taking action. Waiting too long could mean losing the right to recover compensation for your medical expenses, lost income, or pain and suffering.

At Goins Law, we know how quickly time passes after an accident. While you focus on healing, we focus on the paperwork, the insurance calls, and the fight for justice — so you don’t have to face it alone.

Legal Question: I hired an attorney for my drug distribution case. My attorney did absolutely nothing to help me. And eventually talked me into pleading guilty. As a result I recieved a 15 year sentence. Is that a good cause for an appeal?

Goins Law: You can always file an appeal (whether there is good cause will be decided by the appellate court). One of the problems you have however is that it was your decision to plead guilty. From my experience, I know that prior to accepting your guilty plea, the Court inquired as to whether you were pleading guilty of your own free will and understood the consequences of your decision to plead guilty. The court would have then asked you whether you still wish to plead guilty, to which you obviously answered “yes.” Your claim that your attorney "talked you into pleading guilty" is not likely going to be a winning argument on appeal unless you have other factors for the appellate court to consider.
