How old do you have to be to petition for your parents?
To petition for a parent to obtain a Green Card, you must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old. Lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) cannot petition for their parents.
Family-based immigration can involve several steps, and understanding your eligibility is an important place to start.
At Godzina & Strange, our immigration attorneys can help you understand the process, prepare your case, and guide your family through the next steps.
