MIRIA is a municipal authority formed by Horsham Township.

Act 101 allows state taxes generated on specific parcels to be directed to MIRIA to assist in reimbursement of cost of remediating PFC contamination and associated with military installations.

Progress is taking shape in Horsham Township. 🚧

During the week of July 13, the former Shelby Apartments building at 112 Easton Road was demolished as part of MIRIA's ongoing redevelopment efforts. This milestone moves the community one step closer to the Blair Mill Road Widening Project, Phase 3, where the property, together with the former Adam's Pit Stop site, will help support future transportation improvements.

Each completed phase helps lay the groundwork for safer travel, stronger infrastructure, and continued community growth

Big milestones begin with meaningful investments. 💧🏗️

At its December 12, 2025 Board Meeting, MIRIA approved eight grants totaling more than $11.3 million, supporting six regional water authorities, Horsham Township, and the Horsham Land Redevelopment Authority. These investments continue advancing PFAS remediation, infrastructure improvements, and redevelopment efforts tied to the former NAS-JRB Willow Grove property.

Now in its sixth year, MIRIA has secured more than $97.5 million in state funding, awarded over $88.6 million through grant programs, and reserved about $7.4 million for future infrastructure projects. Each investment helps strengthen communities, protect vital resources, and build a more resilient future.
