🎨 Call for Art: Storm Drain Art Pilot Project 🎨
The Town of Bluffton is inviting middle and high school students enrolled in Bluffton schools to submit digital artwork for a new Storm Drain Art Pilot Project in the Historic District.
Storm drains are easy to overlook. This project uses art to remind everyone that only rain belongs down the drain and to help prevent litter, pet waste, and other pollutants from entering our waterways.
Submission deadline
Friday, March 6, at 5 p.m.
Design themes by school
• Only rain down the drain | May River High School
• Be a part of the solution, not water pollution | Bluffton High School
• Keep it clean, we’re all downstream | H. E. McCracken Middle School
• The river begins here | Bluffton Middle School
• All drains lead to the ocean | River Ridge Academy

Artwork display
Winning designs will be printed on 3 ft by 2 ft vinyl decals and installed in high pedestrian areas throughout Bluffton’s Historic District. Selected student artists will also be recognized on the Town’s website.
How to apply
Completed application and agreement forms, along with digital artwork, must be received by the deadline.

💧 Why it matters
Stormwater flows directly into local waterways, including the May River. What goes into a storm drain goes into our rivers and creeks. Student artwork helps share a simple but powerful message that protects Bluffton’s environment.
