Exploration Friday:
Liberation is a 600-foot-long kinetic street mural by artist Hervey Garcia on the Fred Waring Drive overpass (between Madison Street and Clinton Street) in Indio, California. Completed in October 2025, it functions like a giant real-world zoetrope: driving past at roughly 35 to 45 mph turns the static painted frames into a moving animation of a galloping horse morphing into a flying bird.
