New Jersey is not just holding steady right now, it’s outperforming the entire country 🏡📈

While much of the U.S. housing market has cooled or even declined in some states, New Jersey home prices climbed nearly 6% in February year over year, the strongest gain nationwide. Nearly 40% of homes are still selling above asking price, showing just how competitive certain pockets remain.

A big driver is the state’s strong base of finance, pharma, biotech, and tech jobs, which continues to support steady demand even as other regions slow down. Analysts point to that high-wage employment base as a key reason New Jersey is holding its ground so differently.

As one report put it:

“The national average over that same stretch is only half a percent. The Garden State did not just beat the field. It lapped it.”

What we are seeing is a very local market story, not a national one, and New Jersey is clearly in its own lane right now.
