Before you book your appointment, make sure you’re not asking your notary to do something they legally can’t 👇

❌ No valid ID
❌ Signer not present
❌ Incomplete documents (blanks left empty)
❌ Asking for legal advice
❌ Signer appears unsure, pressured, or impaired
❌ Notary has a personal interest in the document
❌ Missing or incorrect notarial wording
❌ Suspicious or altered documents
❌ Language barrier (no direct communication)

✅ Pro Tip: Come prepared with your ID, completed documents, and be ready to sign in front of your notary!

Save yourself time and avoid delays — a notary’s job is to protect you and the integrity of your documents 💼✨

⚠️ Please note: Louisiana law only allows specific types of documents to be notarized remotely. Some documents may still require in-person notarization.
✔️ The ONLY acts allowed via RON are:

Acknowledgments
Oaths or affirmations
Jurat (affidavits / sworn statements)

👉 So any document that falls into one of those categories may qualify, such as:

Affidavits
Sworn statements
Certain contracts (if only requiring acknowledgment)
Authorization forms
Business documents
Some legal forms that do NOT require witnesses
