Reflecting, Rejoicing, and Recommitting: Happy Juneteenth! ❤️💛💚

Today, City Life Church joins the nation in celebrating Juneteenth—the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.

On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to ensure that the remaining enslaved people were finally told they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

As a church family, we look at Juneteenth not just as a moment in history, but as a powerful reminder of God’s heart for justice, liberation, and the inherent dignity of every human being. Galatians 5:1 reminds us that "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free."

Whether you are just beginning to study or want extra support before your interview, we are here to walk alongside you every step of the way:

✅ Practice civics and English questions
✅ Receive encouragement in a welcoming community setting

✨ Participants who complete the cohort may also be eligible for Monarch Immigration Legal Services to represent them in their N-400 naturalization case, with legal fees waived. 🤓 It's one more way we strive to remove barriers and support our community on the path to citizenship.
