💛 A New Beginning at 81

Just one day before Thanksgiving, an 81-year-old woman lost her housing and found herself staying in a shelter with nowhere else to go.

She reached out for help, and through the dedication of Robin, our housing specialist, and the partnership of CBI, a solution was found. Together, they helped her secure a new apartment that fit within her fixed income and provided the stability she needed.

Stories like this remind us why community matters. When organizations, volunteers, and caring individuals work together, lives can be changed.

We're also grateful for volunteers like Genevieve, who recently assisted a community member with their SNAP application, helping connect them with resources that can make everyday life a little easier.

🤝 What a Great Way to Wrap Up the Season

We had an outstanding turnout for our final Community Action Network (CAN) meeting before the summer break.

🪪 A Small Step That Can Change Everything

Something many of us carry every day without thinking can become one of the biggest obstacles for someone trying to rebuild their life.

Without valid identification, simple things like applying for work, finding housing, picking up prescriptions, or accessing services can become incredibly difficult.

That’s why Arizona Justice Center works alongside the Homeless I.D. Project to help individuals obtain the documents they need to move forward with confidence and stability.

Because rebuilding a life often starts with access, opportunity, and one important first step.
