Arizona's family courts are about to change, and if domestic violence has ever touched your custody case, you need to know about this.
The Alec and Lydia Act (HB 2995) has passed both the Arizona House and Senate and is now awaiting Governor Hobbs' signature. It's named for two young children killed by their father during his unsupervised parenting time in 2024, and it provides for significant changes to DV and custody. Swipe through to learn what changes and what it means for families across the state.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: This bill has not yet become law. It has passed both chambers of the Arizona Legislature and is awaiting the Governor's signature. We are actively monitoring and will update our community the moment that changes.
